Instruction to change customer’s Direct Debit (valid for UK policies beginning with PR)

As the servicing agent, you can instruct Zurich to add, update or cancel a Direct Debit instruction on behalf of your customer, and we’ve got a range of ways you can let us know.

Online

If your customer is the policyholder, is named on the account they want to make payments from, and the bank account is a personal account, it’s quick and easy to let us know they’ve changed their bank details by completing our simple form. We'll carry out checks to validate your customer’s identity, which means there's usually no need for additional information.

Changing bank details to a business account or 3rd party payer?

Please note: If the account your customer now wants to make payments from is a business account, or they are not named on the account from which the premiums are now going to be paid, we will need the account holder to complete the Direct Debit mandate, which can be downloaded from the “post or email” section of this page.

You can also inform us of a customer’s change of Direct Debit details by asking them, or the account holder (if your customer is not named on the account from which the premiums are now going to be paid) to print and complete the Direct Debit mandate which can be found at the bottom of this section.

Please note: If your customer is not named on the account from which the premiums are now going to be paid, we will require confirmation of the relationship between the premium payer and the policyholder. Please confirm the nature of this relationship when sending the mandate to us.
