Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is coming to the Adviser Portal
We're introducing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to the Adviser Portal as part of our ongoing commitment to keeping adviser accounts secure.
MFA adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a second form of verification when you log in, helping to safeguard your account and client information.
MFA will be rolled out in phases, so you may notice updates to login screens, account management features and support content before MFA is available on your account. Some advisers may already have access as part of the phased rollout.
If you use a username and password to log in, there's nothing you need to do at this stage and we'll be in touch when MFA is ready for you, with clear instructions on how to get set up. If you use Unipass to log in to our portal, you’ll start to be challenged for MFA when we update our log in screens.
Once enabled, you'll be asked to register for MFA when you log in. You’ll then verify your identity using a one-time passcode, which can be received by SMS, voice call, email or a code generated by your Google Authenticator or OKTA Authenticator app. You'll also be able to manage your authentication methods through the Account Management area on the login page.
We are also introducing a new account management feature accessible from the login screen that will enable you to manage your different authentication methods, update your email address if you choose to receive codes to your email address and update your password.
To support you, we’ve also introduced self-service functionality so that you can unlock your own account if you have locked yourself out. This can be accessed from the login page and you will then receive an email to unlock your account and complete your security question.
If you are unable to see the account management or unlock account functionality, please try refreshing the page.
If you have any questions, please speak to your usual Zurich contact.
