Double success at the British Insurance Awards
We’re celebrating after winning two awards at the British Insurance Awards last Wednesday evening, one of the insurance industry's biggest events recognising excellence, innovation and impact.
Held at the iconic Royal Albert Hall and hosted by Alan Carr, the awards are judged by peers from across the market, making the recognition even more special.
Life Insurance Company of the Year – for the second year running
We’re incredibly proud that our UK Life business has once again been named Life Insurance Company of the Year.
The award recognises another outstanding year for the team, including enhancements to our Critical Illness and Income Protection Plans, the launch of an impactful multi-channel external campaign and the introduction of an on-demand learning platform for advisers.
The team also achieved an increase in new business, while customer satisfaction scores reached their highest-ever levels.
Commenting on the win, Alex Koslowski, Head of UK Life, said:
“Winning this award for a second-year running says something important about the Life business - this isn’t about one good year or one standout moment, it’s about the consistency of our people, the quality of our work and the role we’re playing in shaping the market. We keep raising the bar on service, innovation and how we protect lives and loved ones. ESG: Sustainability Initiative of the Year
We also took home the award for ESG: Sustainability Initiative of the Year in recognition of our partnership with Magic Breakfast.
Magic Breakfast provides healthy morning meals to children who might otherwise start the school day hungry, helping them improve their focus, energy and confidence in the classroom.
Through our customer feedback programme, we donate a breakfast for every tNPS response we receive, and together we've now donated almost 200,000 breakfasts to children across the UK.
This award highlights the positive impact that can be achieved when we combine customer engagement with meaningful social action.
These awards are a fantastic recognition of the passion, expertise and dedication of colleagues across the business.
