More platform improvements built around you
Better never stops and neither do we
We’re delighted to announce a series of improvements to our protection platform as part of our continuous improvement strategy. These developments are based directly on the feedback you’ve provided and are designed to make it even easier for you to do business with Zurich.
Here’s how we’ve made digital enhancements to the apply process:
- We’ve improved our payment screens with better on-screen guidance for scenarios including third party payers, bank accounts with more than one signatory, as well as including a quick link to helpful tools such as our DDI calculator. This makes it easy to let your client know when their first and regular payments will come out of their account.
- Did you know that back in July we extended terms issued from 90 to 120 days? This means applications remain available for longer and we have now introduced a series of handy email reminders on applications where terms are available but haven’t yet been issued. This means you’ll now benefit from regular, timely reminders at 7, 30 and 60 days after terms are issued, as they approach expiry, so you are always in control.
- We have also improved our address validation to make it easier and more intuitive, particularly for Scottish addresses.
- We've improved case tracking on medical examinations in your Adviser Portal with improved notifications when we schedule (or reschedule) through our third-party medical provider, Inuvi. This ensures regular timely updates on application progress show in your adviser portal, so you’re always in the loop.
We’ve also taken the opportunity to make a series of underwriting improvements designed to ensure better, more accurate decision making and an improved point of sale outcome.
These include:
- The introduction of ex-smoker status on the IRESS portal, ensuring a clearer, more accurate view of customer prices upfront.
- We’re getting ahead of the game with the new industry standard Criterion occupations changes ready for 2025, meaning you’ll be able to select from the updated list of occupations right now in our Life Protection Platform.
- Reviews to some of our most frequently disclosed conditions including raised blood pressure, raised cholesterol, diabetes, and anxiety and depression. This includes reducing the number of additional questions you need to ask, as well as allowing customers to provide exact readings, where they are known, to help us offer the best terms we can. All of this aims to increase the volume of decisions we can make at the point cover is applied for, ensuring a smoother experience for you and your client.
