Keeping your customer data up to date and secure
Checking your client’s address
We want your client’s first impression to be a positive one, so ensuring their personal details are completely up to date on their application before issuing the policy is critical.
If it’s not, it could mean their personal details, including health and lifestyle information, could be sent to the wrong address.
This tends to happen in scenarios where the address changes mid-way through the application, for example as a result of a mortgage arrangement linked to a house move.
Why is this so important?
It’s important because regardless of communication preference, your client’s personal detail confirmation will always be issued by post. That means making sure you have the correct address recorded for them is key.
This also ensures that clients can quickly and easily access their documentation online via their customer portal. If your client’s address is incorrect on our system they won’t be able to register on the portal either.
Check before you issue
It’s quick and easy for you to ‘go back’ over the application and amend the address prior to issuing the policy and without the application going back into underwriting.
This provides an additional fail-safe which allows you to check and amend details before you issue the policy, helping to get it right first time, every time.
Notifying us of incorrect details
If you realise documents have been issued to an incorrect address in error, or if your client hasn't received documentation they were expecting at their new address, get in touch.
We can then update our records, re-create your client's documentation, and send it to the correct address.
Making changes online
Changing your clients’ address is easy.
If the policy has been issued, your client can access the customer portal and change their address in the Contact details section themselves. Our easy guide explains exactly how they can do this.
If you’re still completing the application and find your client is moving, simply retrieve the application and change the address before you issue. This ensures your client’s personal details confirmation goes to their correct address.
