How can rehabilitation support your client?

The sooner your client gets the support they need, the sooner they’re likely to get better through earlier intervention and management of their condition. That’s why at Zurich we have introduced rehabilitation support to help your client through all stages of their income protection claim.

With our early claim notification feature, once our rehabilitation team has been in touch, we can start paying your clients premiums for them right away.

  • What is rehabilitation support

    The rehabilitation team of medical experts is made up of general nurses, mental health nurses, occupational health nurses and physiotherapists – all with years of experience in the health industry.

    As soon as your client informs the Zurich claims team they’re too ill or injured to work, their dedicated claims specialist will contact them to see whether our rehabilitation team can help them with their recovery.

    Our rehabilitation team will talk to your client to understand their illness or injury, and to hear about what’s happened so far – whether they’ve already started treatment or not.

    If the rehabilitation team feel your client would benefit from treatment, we’ll arrange and pay for it. We’ll coordinate this care with your client’s GP or consultants they’ve already seen, to make sure everything joins up.

    Your client’s dedicated claims specialist will keep in touch with them throughout their recovery to see how they’re doing and are available when they need help.

    We’ll help your client to get back to a routine that is manageable. Our rehabilitation team can work with your client to create a return-to-work plan to help them get well and stay well.

    In 2017, we helped 433 people get the rehabilitation support they needed.

  • Making a claim

    If your client needs to make an income protection claim they’ll have a lot going on, so we’ve made it as easy as we can. They’ll have their own dedicated claims specialist who’ll be with them every step of the way.

    The dedicated claims specialist will contact your client to see whether our rehabilitation team can help with their recovery. If it sounds like we can help, a member of our rehabilitation team will get in touch.
