Zurich is closing the Liontrust Global Income fund on Sterling Bond and Zurich Pension and making changes to the fund on the Sterling ISA & Investment Account

14 December 2016

As part of our commitment to customers, we regularly review the performance and ongoing suitability of the funds available through our products. We call this ‘funds governance’ and if a fund continues to fall short of these standards, we’ll withdraw it from our fund range.

Sterling Bond/Zurich Pension

Our funds governance process has identified that the underlying Liontrust Global Income fund has failed to meet its own performance targets over an extended period of time. The fund is already closed to new business so as a result, we’ve decided to close the Sterling and Zurich Liontrust Income funds on 3 February 2017.

We'll send you a list of clients affected by these changes in the next week or so.

We'll also be writing to your clients as we've said we'll let them know when changes are made to funds they have invested in. Please click on the links below to download copies of the letters we'll be sending to your clients:

Sterling ISA/Investment Account

The Liontrust Global Income fund will still be available to your clients invested through the Sterling ISA and Investment Account but we've moved it to our Wider Market fund range. We don’t apply the same selection process to Wider Market funds or review them in the same way as we do our panel funds.
