Changes to the Standard Life Global Absolute Return Strategies fund

20 October 2016

We've been advised by Standard Life that it will make changes to to the investment powers of the fund on 7 November.

"Currently, up to 35% of the Fund’s assets can be invested in government and public securities issued by any one body, for example, UK government bonds. In some situations this limit means we must use potentially less effective investments. We believe that it would be beneficial for the Fund to have a greater ability to use government and public securities issued by the same body, as required.

Accordingly, with effect from 7 November 2016, we will amend the Fund’s trust deed and prospectus so that the Fund can invest more than 35%, and up to the limit provided by the regulations that govern it, of its assets in government and public securities issued by one body."
